Stacia, George, and baby Finnian!

Congratulations Stacia & George! Baby Finnian is the newest member of our family. Born last week, his parents brought him home yesterday, and I'll post a picture soon.

Retired & loving San Diego!

Rick & I have been in California since 2005 when we retired from Ford and General Motors, sold our home in Troy, Michigan, and headed west.

Our home is 40+ miles north of San Diego, and 12 miles inland in Vista. We are loving it!

Julian graduated from Michigan State University December, 2008. After 2 Summers interning at Intuit in La Jolla, CA, and then at their Mt. View, CA, Headquarters, he started full time in January 2009. Later he made a jump over to ZYNGA a computer gaming company, programming the very popular FARMVILLE game and others. He's living up near San Francisco. While he's still 500 miles away, at least he's in the same State now!

Instead of real paper and photo albums, this blog is my electronic album and memory book. If you like to check it out now and then, cool!

We are also keeping busy finding Simionis through Facebook, and have ventured on several trips to Italy, and Castelfranco Veneto, near Venice, where Rick's father Desiderio spent his childhood. We have met molto Simionis and have this blog Simionis of The World.
We have confirmed only one relative, but are treated like family by all the Simionis. We are learning Italian (slowly) and have many Italian friends here in San Diego now too through our Meet-Up group events.

My "Aunt Nancy USA" support-the-troops project keeps me quite busy, especially during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays. It continues to be rewarding especially since I've connected with some young Marine families right here at Camp Pendleton.

I've also joined SendOutCards as an independent distributor having fun with personal cards, but also helping small businesses build business referrals through "appreciation marketing". My goal is to provide cards for our troops.

We miss all our friends and family back in Michigan, but as you will see if you follow my Blog entries, we get a LOT of visitors!
